Independence Cup 2017
The Independence Cup 2017 is an upcoming cricket tournament scheduled to take place in Lahore, Pakistan. It is the first time when the ICC has sent an official to oversea cricket matches in Pakistan since 2009. This tournament will be contested between a World XI team and Pakistan across three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches. South Africa’s Faf du Plessis will captain the World XI team, with Sarfraz Ahmed leading Pakistan. The International Cricket Council (ICC) appointed Richie Richardson as the match referee for the fixtures.
