Canberra Day is an Australian national holiday that is celebrated annually on the second Monday in March in the Australian capital and Jervis Bay. It was a celebration of the anniversary of the day officially called Canberra. Lady Denman, the wife of Lord Denman, the then Governor-General, appointed the place in 1913.
